the library.

IlmHive welcomes notes from students of the classical sciences. Send what you have — a chapter from a primer, a working tafsir of a sūrah, biographical sketches, glossary entries — and we will read it carefully.

What we're looking for

  • Notes that map to a recognisable classical text or syllabus. Bonus if you indicate the chapter, hadith number, or verse range.
  • Hanafi-leaning where the question of legal school arises (this is the school IlmHive's catalogue follows by default — but well-written notes from other schools are still welcome and will be marked accordingly).
  • Notes that are reasonably complete — a stub of a few lines is less useful than a clear treatment, even if it covers a smaller scope.
  • Citations back to the original sources where you have them.

How submissions are handled

Submissions are reviewed before being added to the library. If something is published, you'll be credited as the author or contributor. If we don't use it, we'll usually let you know why. We do not publish anything without reading it first.

The form

Send us your notes.

All fields marked with an asterisk are required. A link to the notes (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc.) is the easiest way to share — direct uploads can come later.

The science the notes belong to.

What the notes are on — e.g. 'Tafsir of Sūrah Yūsuf, verses 1–15'.

A short paragraph describing the notes — what classical text they follow, who they're written for, and how complete they are.

Optional. A Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or similar URL — whatever's easiest.

Submissions are reviewed before publication.
